About the Bakelite Chandelier:
- Manufactured in Australia using the original molds and machinery of the 1930’s. Bakelite was a material traditionally used in shades used by flower growers as they could withstand high wattage globes without melting when strung over fields or hung in greenhouses.
- Available in black other shades come in a range of colours; mottled brown, black and white speckle, mottled green and white. All available. Please for more information on purchasing these finishes.
- The shades are 210mm in diameter and 70mm high.
- The triple arm steel frames are available in black or gold/brass finishes.
- The five arm frame is available in black.
- The frame is constructed with high quality steel and features adjustable arms using wingnut screws on the ends. These180 degrees swivel lamp holders are to adjust shades in the upwards and downwards position.
- To adjust the lamp holder the wing nut screw needs to be loosened slightly. The lamp holder is not to be adjusted with the wing nut still tightened in place.
- The steel chandelier when assembled totals a 990mm drop from the ceiling. The two poles supplied in the box total 380mm pole length when combined. Both poles must be used. Additional extension poles of 380mm can be added if you would like a length greater than 990mm, simply to arrange.
- The multi light pendant attaches to the ceiling via a hook hanger which is secured in the ceiling and then the ceiling cap covers the hole.
- The lamp holder takes a standard bayonet (B22) light bulb, max 60W.
